Use your Grok subscription as a coding agent
AgenC Core is an open source coding agent for your terminal. Sign in with X and it runs on your SuperGrok or X Premium subscription, so you do not need a metered xAI API key.
Sign in with X
curl -fsSL https://get.agenc.ag/install.sh | sh agenc onboard
At the model access step, choose Sign in with X / xAI. You can also sign in later with /grok-login inside AgenC, or with agenc grok-login from a script or over SSH. An eligible SuperGrok or X Premium subscription covers the Grok calls.
Prefer an API key?
export XAI_API_KEY=your-key agenc --provider grok
Grok 4.6 by default
Grok is AgenC's default provider and grok-4.6 its default model, with a 500k-token context window and reasoning effort from low to xhigh. Grok 4.5 and Grok 4.3 stay selectable with /model.
Everything else still works
Background agents, headless runs with agenc -p, MCP servers and the phone app all work the same on Grok. To try another model, switch with /provider. All 25 providers
